Last month I wrote about using the WordPress REST API. Lots of articles out there are pretty technical (which can be really intimidating), so I wrote my own with the newbie in mind.
I also put together a testing checklist. Once you’re done with your website but before you go live, go through this list and make sure your site is polished and working great.
Last week I had a call with one of the participants of a new mastermind I just started. He looked at my blog and commented that he couldn’t tell who my target audience was — small businesses? Agencies? Other developers?
Because the topics are so varied, he wasn’t sure exactly who I was talking to.
I get it. I don’t either.
I haven’t been doing this a long time (just over a year), and although I know I want and need to specialize, I’m just not sure what to choose.
Sometimes when we don’t know, it holds us back from taking action. We wait for some illusive time in the future — the “someday when…”
But action is exactly what you and I need to take to be able to get experience and find focus.
So here I am, taking action. And I hope you are, too.
P.S. Do you get sidetracked with new, shiny products and services? I’m always drawn in by the promise of a more amazing me — successful business, meaningful relationships, full life. But too many distractions can kill your productivity. I did a bit of research and wrote my first guest post on a friend’s productivity blog about avoiding shiny object syndrome. Go check it out.
