A lot of people are looking for a quick fix or easy way be successful, but that’s not the way success works. We’ve lost sight of the fundamentals. The Compound Effect isn’t anything you haven’t heard before — but it is a good reminder of what you already know.
Profit First: Transform Your Business from a Cash-Eating Monster to a Money-Making Machine is one of my favorite business books. I first read it in 2018, then read it again in 2022 so I could write this review. Profit First has made a HUGE difference in my business and I highly recommend it (plus, it’s entertaining).
I don’t know about you, but sometimes my life feels busy and like I’m not really accomplishing anything. One way I try to remedy this is to stop, sit down and look back, especially at the new year. Seeing what did and didn’t work and deciding what I want to accomplish going forward brings some much needed clarity in my life.

Essentialism, The Disciplined Pursuit of Less, by Greg McKewon, is a book about getting the right things done vs. getting more done in less time. Read my summary and thoughts.
