Tomorrow is D-Day.
(In case you just tuned in or missed the last newsletter, I quit my job and tomorrow is my last day! I’m embarking on the world of freelancing full-time. 100%. All in. No turning back.)
Strangely, one of the questions that has come up repeatedly is, “What are you going to do for health care?” Not to worry friends, I’ve purchased health insurance on the open market and am all set for September 1.
I plan on singing a little Whitesnake on my way out the door, if you want to sing along with me!
(And for all you inquisitive peeps out there, this is why it’s called D-Day.)
Did You Know?
Last week I was working on a project and had to copy some formulas in Excel. There were over 40,000 rows in the file and after dragging for what seemed like an eternity, I thought – there HAS to be a better way.
I googled it, and it turns out that you can double-click the small box in the lower-right corner (when your cursor turns into a black plus sign) and BAM. The formula is copied down through all of the rows where you need it.
HOLY SHIT PEOPLE! Where have I been all this time?! I can’t tell you the pure, unadulterated joy I felt at this discovery.
It works in Google Sheets, too, for all your Microsoft-haters.
I even made you a gif using http://www.screentogif.com/ because I love you that much.

And speaking of tech stuff (and teaching I guess), I am speaking at WordCamp Pittsburgh next month!! (Scroll down until you find the dumbass who didn’t write their bio in the third person – that’s me!)
After a great experience at WordCamp Kent in June, I decided to submit a talk for WordCamp Pittsburgh and it was accepted!
My talk is about the WordPress back-end, the MySQL database and the WordPress core tables.
AND all WordCamp presentations are filmed for WordPress.tv, so YOU will get to see my presentation too once it’s published there. (Try to contain your excitement.)
On My Mind
It’s not about making the bed.
You’re not going to find a lot of relationship talk up in here, but I love the idea of Mark & Mandy’s Relationship Contract.
It’s not you or me vs. everyone else. There is no human experience that we all have alone. (I think Rachel’s posts are great. Anyone want to do her Fulfillment Pyramid with me?)
As always, thanks for reading! I’m so happy you’re here.
