How I really feel about my next big venture

If you follow me on LinkedIn or Twitter, you may have seen my posts about starting a podcast/YouTube show. If you don’t, surprise!! I’m starting a podcast/YouTube show! 🎉

What I didn’t share on social media, though, was the backstory and how I really feel about all of this.

Never, at any point, was my intention to start a podcast. I’m not a huge podcast listener because I’m not very good at consuming information in this way — I always want to stop and take notes, or realize that I’ve been daydreaming and not listening.

However, I have a big interest in helping service businesses launch digital products. And what better way to learn more about that and to help other people, than to interview others and have conversations about their successes and failures?

So, in the name of learning, I decided to start a show. I create a lot of videos for my clients and my students, and am pretty comfortable on video, so it will be a video-first show, available on YouTube. I’ll also share the audio as a podcast if you want to listen in the car or while you’re making dinner.

The show will launch in early 2023. I recorded my first two interviews last week and have three more scheduled in the coming weeks. I hired a branding company to help with design. The coach I’m working with is helping me dig in, map everything out, build my frameworks and find my point of view.

It’s terrifying. 😱

Building expertise in a new(ish) area and putting myself out there in a way that I haven’t really before — these are BIG changes for me. I’m hopeful everything will come together and this will prove to be the right path for me.
