Creating a website doesn’t have to be overwhelming. I break the process down into clear, manageable steps so you always know what to expect — from our first conversation to launch day (and beyond). Here’s how we’ll work together to bring your site to life.

Content + Design

We start with a conversation about your business — what you do, who you serve, and what you need your website to accomplish. I’ll send over a brief questionnaire to help us both get clarity, and we’ll meet virtually to review your goals and ideas.

If you’re not sure what content to include or how to talk about your business online, I can help guide you — or connect you with trusted professionals who specialize in content and copywriting.

When it comes to design, I have a few flexible options. If you already have a branding, great — we can build the site around that. If you don’t, we can use a clean, modern template that fits your style. Want something totally unique? For an additional fee, I can work with you on a custom design tailored specifically to your brand.

Extras

Your business might need more than the basics — and that’s totally fine. Every website is different, and I offer a range of add-ons to support your unique goals. You can include functionality like newsletters to grow your email list, event calendars to keep clients informed, online booking or reservations to streamline scheduling, memberships for exclusive content, custom search and filtering to improve navigation, or even a digital product to sell online.

If you’re not sure what extras you might need, I’m happy to talk through your options and help you decide what will best support your business now — and leave room for growth later. We’ll map out a plan together, and if your needs evolve over time, your site will be flexible enough to grow with you.

Development

Once your content is ready and the design direction is set, I’ll build your site using WordPress. This phase brings everything to life — turning our ideas into a fully functional website that reflects your business and goals.

Your site will be responsive and mobile-friendly, meaning it’ll look great and work smoothly on phones, tablets, and desktops. It will be easy for you to update on your own, and include up to 10 pages with clear calls to action to guide your visitors. I’ll also build in a contact form, social media links, SEO-friendly text and images, and basic technical features like SSL for security, regular backups, and protection against common threats.

Behind the scenes, I’ll take care of important setup tasks like installing Google Analytics and Search Console so you can monitor how people are finding and using your site. If you have an existing website, I’ll migrate your content to the new one and make sure everything transitions smoothly — no broken links, missing pages, or downtime.

Throughout development, I focus on both form and function, making sure your site looks good and works hard for your business.

Review + Revisions

After development is complete, we’ll meet to review your working (but not yet live) site. During this meeting, I’ll walk you through each section of the site and show you how to make updates like editing text, swapping out images, or adding new content. I’ll answer any questions you have and make sure you feel confident managing your site going forward.

From there, you’re welcome to explore and make changes to the development site yourself. Don’t worry — I’ll create a full backup beforehand, so if anything goes sideways, we can easily restore it.

You’ll also have a chance to request any final edits or small tweaks. I’ll handle those updates for you so everything looks polished and ready to go before we launch.

Launch + Support

When your website is ready, I’ll launch it for you — making sure everything is running smoothly. If you’re replacing an old site, I’ll take care of that transition too.

If we missed something small, don’t worry! You’ll have two weeks of post-launch support where I’ll handle any quick fixes or small changes.

For long-term peace of mind, I also offer care plans that include updates, backups, security monitoring, and more. That way, you can focus on running your business — not worrying about plugin updates or technical glitches.
