When I was little, my dad and I had a favorite TV show that we’d always watch together — The Commish. I have really fond memories of that time and wanted to recreate that with my son now.
Enter The Flash.
We just started watching earlier this year and we LOVE it. We’re working our way through back episodes (at an alarming rate this summer), but one episode stood out.
Team Flash is looking for a woman in danger. She’s a musician with powers and the bad guy is after her, so Team Flash wants to get to her first to protect her. They have TONS of advanced technology and are trying everything they can think of to locate her.
Then someone says, “Did you check her website?”
And of course, the website lists where she is that night, performing at a show outside of town.
Kudos to this fictional character whose website is up to date! Is yours? (Or is that only on TV?)

I have email marketing on the brain.
Last month on the blog I wrote about email marketing in the wild after a visit to Spoonwood Brewing. For awhile I’ve been intrigued by the various types of sign up forms on different websites, so I sampled 29 of them and wrote about what I learned.
On Tuesday, I’ll be presenting at our monthly WordPress meetup for the first time on (you guessed it) email marketing. If you’re in town, join us!
Thanks for being here. I appreciate you!
P.S. My friend Alastair is in the process of specializing his web agency. He wants to help consultants (and freelancers like me) with their sales and marketing. We jumped on a Zoom call and he gave me some AWESOME tips so I can improve my sales process. Check it out on YouTube.
P.P.S. I asked my friend Adam for help in naming my business. Listen to the advice he gave on episode 100 of his podcast, Get Options. (Don’t worry, it gets more serious as they go on!)
