Add updates to your Google Business listing with Google’s update feature
If you are updating your website regularly with new content, news items or blog posts AND you have a Google Business listing, check out Google’s Update feature.
Share the same content from your website on Google (just like you might be on social media) to hopefully boost its visibility and reach more people.
Add Update
Navigate to your Google Business listing at business.google.com and click on your business name.
Click Add update under “Your business on Google.”

Click Add update.

On the popup that appears:
- Add an image
- Add some text
- Choose Learn More
- Enter the URL of your blog post
- Click Post
These should all be things you already have from your website, so this step shouldn’t take long!

View Update
From there, look at your Google Business listing and scroll down below Reviews and Contact (and above Profiles). You should see a new area for updates.

Click on the image and a popup will open with more information. Click on Learn more and you’ll be directed to the original link on your website.
