What is your specialty and are you sharing it with the world?
Over the weekend, my partner and I met friends at the Grand Concourse for brunch. If you’ve never been to Pittsburgh, check it out. It’s a beautiful old train station with amazing food and a great view.
I love brunch. Like, love, love brunch. Brunch is my spirit animal.
As I was walking around trying to decide what to get, I stopped at the pasta station. (Pasta?! For brunch?! I don’t even know what I was thinking because breakfast is where it’s at.)
One of the items on the menu was Cavatappi with white clam sauce and underneath it said, a “Grand Concourse specialty.”
I got it and it was AMAZING.
The rest of the food was good, too, but this was next level. I’m still dreaming about it.
The whole experience got me thinking about specialties.
A specialty is something that you’re known for. Something that people talk about far and wide. Something you’re so good at that you could do in your sleep. And if all is right in the universe, something that you LOVE doing.
When you show up in the world and do YOUR THING, it doesn’t get any better than that.
So today I’m wondering, what’s your specialty? And are you sharing it with the world?
P.S. Later this month, I’m speaking at WordCamp Phoenix about the first five mile markers on the journey to your first digital product. We’re also taking a road trip to New Mexico to see one of my very best friends who I have never met in person and soak in the hot springs. If you have any tips on what we should check out in either place, let me know!
